10 Harley Davidson Engines That Last Forever Plus the Rev Max Engine

The Harley-Davidson Revolution Max engine is used in the Pan America, Sportster S, and Nightster models.

The Rev Max™ engine is a 60-degree V-Twin, different from the usual 45-degree we see on the Milwaukee-Eight®. It also utilises a dual overhead cam design with one cam specifically for the intake and one cam specifically for the exhaust, meaning the rider can benefit from independent variable valve timing.

The Revolution Max has a displacement and a top speed of 137 MPH. With similar specs to the 2024 Harley-Davidson Sportster® S, this bike has an edge with a powerful 150 horsepower and 95 lb. -ft. of torque with the Revolution® Max 1250 engine.

2025 Motorcycle Market Meltdown: Bike Dealers Can’t Move Stock

While there has been slow movement in the motorcycle industry, inventory has not been moving and even dealerships are starting to close.

Even the most established dealers can't make it in 2025. Among dealers, the new concern now is increased tariffs that will inevitably drive prices even higher.

The other reason for slow sales, is consumer reluctance to purchase these days with jobs disappearing. It's a global issue and this may ake some time to resolve. We hope not. On the other hand used bike sales tend to be still active, but considerably lower than in the past.

So maybe now might be a good time to look for deals on new or old models. Prices are expected to drop on new models. Keep your eye on the market... either way its changing dramatically.
